You need to hold a visa to enter New Zealand. You can apply for 3 different visas depending on your nationality. This is general information about visas available for international travelers. Please check on the New Zealand immigration website to make sure it applies to you.

NZeTA: you must request a NZeTA before you travel to New Zealand if

  • you travel on a passport from a country on the visa waiver list

  • leave for New Zealand on or after 1 October 2019, and

  • you are visiting New Zealand for up to 3 months

  • The NZeTA is valid for many visits and up to 2 years.

Visitor Visa : with this visa you can

  • study up to 3 months

  • visit family and friends, explore New Zealand or enjoy amateur sports, or adventure activities for up to 9 months depending on your plans

but you cannot

  • work

  • volunteer in exchange of service (although we might call you a volunteer immigration doesn’t see you as one because you pay for your accomodation and food)

Working Holiday Visa: with this visa you can

  • Work in New Zealand

  • Volunteer

  • Study

  • Visit

Note: the conditions of your visa may vary depending on the nationality on your passport. Please check your options and the conditions on the New Zealand Immigraiton Website before you apply. You can also attend our course on a student visa but this course cannot support your visa application, you must be studying with another organisation.
