IALC
- COLC is one of only four NZ schools who are members of the International Association of Language Centres (IALC). Members regularly undergo academic audits to ensure that excellent educational and professional standards are maintained.
English New Zealand
- COLC is also a member of English New Zealand, an association of twenty-seven high quality NZ language schools that ensure member schools meet strict academic and management criteria specific to the English language industry.
Student Fee Protection
-
The New Zealand Government is very concerned about the security of any fees that international students pay to NZ schools. Schools here are not allowed to operate unless they have an approved Student Fee Protection program in place. This means the fees you pay in advance are protected and if this school were ever to suddenly close, all students would get their unused fees returned. In our case COLC carries a large “Bank Bond” to cover the protection of our students fees.
Past Students
- Students who have graduated from our school have gone on to use their English in university studies in NZ and overseas, to work in government and commercial organizations in their own countries, to work in NZ, to travel with the confidence that they can communicate effectively (see student testimonials).
- Over the years, many of our students have returned to COLC, to what they call their ‘second home’ to enjoy being with the staff, their former teachers and host families again and have also sent their friends and family members to study with us. The family atmosphere that we are able to create here, because of our small size and our very special location, is one of the very special things about this school.
